Every life creates a story. How do you relate to your own story, your family’s? Is the way you tell your story helping you or harming you? How do you hold your story’s fragments, contradictions, questions, mystery?

I believe that humans are story-telling animals, that we make meaning through stories, and that stories are essential to our spirituality. We tell our stories to seek confirmation of our experiences  and to draw closer to the mystery that we sense, yet cannot grasp.

As a spiritual companion, I create space for you to tell and explore your story. I listen to you so that you can listen to yourself. I honour your authentic experience and help you to hear your own truths. I offer a resting place for reflection and contemplation in your busy life.

What is coming to life in you, and what is fading away?

What is met with gratitude, and what is met with grief?

What brings you joy, and what brings tears?

What is being newly planted in you, and what is ripe for harvest?

What is waiting for your attention, and what is waiting to be let go?

Spiritual accompaniment is for everyone who wants to live more than a superficial life. Do you long to integrate spiritual practice into daily life? Find alignment between your values and what you engage in? Are you an activist or busy parent who needs a place of rest and recharging? Do you feel it’s time to let go of some things in mid-life or retirement?

Whatever your spiritual background, I welcome you. I especially invite you into accompaniment if you wander between or outside of traditions, describe yourself as “spiritual but not religious”, or feel that you just cannot find what fits you. Let’s explore together how you can find your unique path, your own language for mystery, and your own rituals to support you.

I am a contemplative non-theist in awe of life and the universe, embedded in the natural world and the cycle of seasons. As long as I can remember, I have been drawn to the mystery of the un-knowable and have had a strong bent for social justice. I have practiced Buddhism since 1999, mostly in Soto Zen and Vipassana (Insight) meditation, and have formally committed as a Zen student. Pacific Jubilee’s SoulGuiding program (completed in 2020) launched my journey into living an embodied life and integrating my scattered self into wholeness.
