Prairie Jubilee
Spiritual Director Practicum for Alumni
“Strengthening Wisdom and Awareness”
Graduates of the two-year Prairie Jubilee program know the feeling of fulfilment that arises following this time of deep work and soul growth. New found wisdom and listening skills are then taken out into the world to friends and family and into community.
Prairie Jubilee has graduated over 150 participants from our Spiritual Formation/Spiritual Direction program. We know that finding support for the on-going practice of Spiritual Direction is often a challenge and for this reason, we have decided to offer Prairie Jubilee alumni a nine month Spiritual Direction Renewal Practicum.

The first year of the current Jubilee cycle closes at the end of December. Students have completed the spiritual formation portion of the program and are ready to engage in the Art of Spiritual Direction.
This coming year of practicum will be open to any past graduate who wishes to reconnect with the Jubilee community, refocus on the aspects of deeper listening, and revitalize skills. Alumni will work alongside our current students as they delve into this new practice. Each participant will need to secure 3-4 directees for the practicum.
PRACTICUM - focuses on the art of spiritual direction and developing skills in deep listening. This year of practicum includes one-to-one supervision, peer supervision and extensive skills developement.
9 Month ONLINE Teaching Components include:

MODULE ONE: What is Spiritual Direction?
1 evening, 1 day, 1 morning — January 12, 13 & 14, 2024
MODULE TWO: The Art of Spiritual Direction
A: 1 evening, 1 day, — January 19 & 20, 2024 - Instruction
B: 1 evening, 1 day, — February 23 & 24, 2024 - Practice
MODULE THREE: Direction Practicum
Takes place over 6 months with directees and Peer Support
MODULE FOUR: 1-on-1 Supervision Support
Meet online or in person once every two months
MODULE FIVE: Online Silent Retreat
1 evening and 2 days — April 12, 13 & 14, 2024
MORE: In-Person Retreat - Optional (extra fees apply)
3 days — Weekend to take place June 20 – 23, 2024
MODULE SIX: Bringing Home the Boon
1 day — September 28, 2024
*Each participant will be matched with a reader-mentor who will receive and reflect on written work and offer support throughout the year.
Student Components include:
Suggested supplementary reading and recordings
Written assignments
Attending peer-support groups
Continuing with personal Spiritual Direction
Meeting with an assigned Supervisor
Sessions with 3-4 directees over 6 months
Prairie Jubilee Practicum Fees:
$2,100 or 3 payments of $700*
* Prairie Jubilee understands that there are many factors that can keep this program out of reach. For this reason, we offer a reduced fee of $1,500 ( 3 payments of $500) if you are experiencing financial challenges.
