Scott Swanson

Scott is a minister of The United Church of Canada who specializes in transitional ministry with congregations seeking to learn from their past and discern the future to which God is calling them. He has also worked with men as a military and prison chaplain, and through a ministry he initiated called Manifest. Most recently Scott started a coaching practice for people seeking greater meaning and deeper purpose in their life.

In direction himself since 1999, Scott began offering spiritual accompaniment in 2007. He completed the Pacific Jubilee SoulGuiding Program in 2015. In 2020 he completed the Associate Certificate in Conflict Coaching from the Justice Institute. He has worked with men and women, clergy and laity, Christian and non-Christian. His hybrid technique draws on his training and experience in the fields of coaching, educational supervision, pastoral care and spiritual direction, as well as his understanding of Myers-Briggs typologies (he is a certified MBTI practitioner) and the Enneagram.

Scott‘s mission is helping individuals and organizations realize greater meaning, deeper purpose, healing and wholeness. The format is a spacious container in which people can connect with themselves and the ever-present Spirit: through accompaniment, deep listening, reflection, learning, and practices that enhance connections to the Holy.
