Jodi Krahn
Soul Companion for Women:
It brings me great joy to accompany women who are curious and long for greater connection with Spirit, self, body, others and the natural world as they pass through all the developmental and hormonal “initiation stages” of their lives. Together we listen deeply for the current of aliveness within their stories and dreams, finding the Divine within their cherished female bodies so that they might come home to their truest Self and flourish.
I am guided by my mentorship with Jubilee Pacific as a Soul Companion, as well as my work as depth psychotherapist, expressive art and embodiment coach, plant medicine integration therapist, dream work, and my personal exploration and apprenticeship in the conscious feminine path of individuation (coming home to self). I am weaving an integrated practice of companioning women who would like to shed the patriarchal structures that have bound or diminished to discover an authentic, transformative spiritual path to allows them to reclaim their true self. That Self that has never been separate from Spirit (or whatever one calls the Great Mystery—God!)
I am available for one on one visits, in person, in the forest or online as well as group and retreat facilitation.
About Jodi:
I have loved God (the nameless Source of All) since I was a child and would seek that Mystery through the wound of adoption, childhood trauma and fundamental christianity and Jesus. Experiencing physical illness and an eating disorder as a young adult allowed me to discover the voice of my body/soul, teaching me how to tend to and befriend my body as the home of my soul. Learning to be and listen with Silence allowed me to listen to my body. Through my body I connected with my soul which was asking for expression—embodiment! It was here that I uncovered the feminine aspect of God, the Great Mother. Through the practice of meditation/prayer, 5 Rhythms Dance, Conscious movement, intuitive painting, Soul Collage, breath work, Yoga Nidra (deep rest), dream work and, being companioned by a wonderful mentor,I have been remembering my authentic essence, beyond my personality, gifted to me by our Creator. It is learning to be expressed through humanity and this is such a holy wonder to me!
My heart feels open and light when I am able to share these practices and my learnings with others to inspire their own inner exploration and maturation as a divine human.
I live and wander on the traditional, ancestral and unseeded territories of the sylix Okanagan and Secwepemc peoples. I continue to explore partnership in all its joys and complexities with my life partner (husband) of many decades. It has been my joy and greatest area of growth to raise 4 children and now savour playing with and exploring life with our grandchildren. I love to wander the woodlands with my dog River, cook for family and friends and full belly laugh whenever possible.
How to Listen
Listening is a form of worship,
but you don't have to kneel
on the floor with folded hands
or mouth the perfect prayer.
Just open the door of yourself
to another, become the space
they step through to show you
who they are. This is holiness:
two people seated together
on the pew of a park bench,
at the altar of a kitchen table.
Even if no one says a word
for a while, receive the silence
until it's like a new language
only the two of you can speak.
