As a Spiritual Companion

I love exploring how we stay gentle and courageous in all that life brings.

As an uninvited guest living on stolen lands, I am grateful for the perpetual stewardship of the xʷməθkʷəyiəm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish) and Səlílwətaʔ (Tsleil-Waututh) peoples. These lands and waters continually inspire and renew me, reminding me of my mutual connection with each living being.

I am committed to the work of healing and transformation that is both personal and collective. I am informed by my experiences of being with dying and the painful yet beautiful gifts that can come with mortality. I am constantly learning from those who fight for liberation from oppressive systems and call on others to step into this fight for our shared freedom.

Over the years my time has been spent raising pigs, attending theatre school, and organizing rainwater harvesting in Ghana. I am Uncle Wade to several godchildren and neighbours. I believe cookies and dancing are essential to building a better world.

I do not currently offer formal accompaniment outside of my work in health care.

I bring to Pacific Jubilee my love for community, playfulness, contemplative practice, and discerning the places “where your deep gladness and the world’s deep hunger meet.” (Frederick Buechner)
