Susan Sorensen

I have been a life long seeker of meaning and wisdom. I have been most aware of the movement of spirit in conversation and in community. More and more, I am coming to know spirit in silence and deep listening.

I felt a call to ministry as a young adult and was ordained within the United Church of Canada. I felt a call out of that particular way of serving and was moved to live and work through other creative expressions – mostly, in the arts – through teaching music and in photography.

In mid-life, I found myself longing to deepen my inner life. Through study of the enneagram and through the Prairie Jubilee Program in soul development and spiritual direction, my life’s path is opening. My recent experience as an intern with PJP has strengthened my desire to continue to offer spiritual direction and learning opportunities for individuals and groups. I am grateful for ‘holy’ moments – as a listener of spirit and as a witness to another’s spiritual journey.

My inspiration comes through song, writing, image making, walking on land and by the sea, soulful conversation, reading and daily periods of silence.

I spend the summer and fall in Prince Edward Island and the winter and spring in Saskatchewan. I look forward to meeting with seekers in person, by phone or on Skype.
