The Brokenhead River at Sandy Saulteaux Spiritual Centre

Soul Growing Summer Retreat

Thursday June 15th to Sunday, June 18th.

Nurturing a time of Inner Growth for Prairie Jubilee Alum and Students

“Sandy Saulteaux is a sweet, quiet space nestled in nature, simple in design and wide in embrace; a restful place for the soul to expand. “
– Jennifer V.

Prairie Jubilee is excited to invite all past and present Jubilee seekers to a 3-day, in-person retreat at Sandy Saulteaux Spiritual Center in Beausejour, Manitoba. The weekend will be a contemplative gathering with movement, music and teachings. All who attend will also take part in an indoor labyrinth walk.

“I want to free what waits within me
So that what no one has dared to wish for
May for once spring clear”
-       Rilke

The work in uncovering the essence of who we are takes place in the Soul of us.

Our Soul is a unique part of our being, and is the link connecting our humanity and our spiritual selves. Our Souls are the place where we integrate our joys as well as our sorrows, our loves as well as our sadness.  The Soul is where real change takes place and something new is created.

Each of us knows we are more than just a body. We are Body, Soul and Spirit. Fortunately, our physical bodies give us the raw material we need to grow into More. We know when our Spirits leave this world; the Soul work we have done will carry on.

Understanding how we grow our Souls through meeting life’s challenges is an essential part of being human.

We will spend the weekend drawing on and sharing our inner wisdom and life experiences. The enneagram will accompany us to help reveal clues for each of our personal journeys forward.

RETREAT LEADERSHIP:

Cheryl Kinney-Matheson

Cheryl Kinney Matheson is a graduate of Prairie Jubilee, a member of Spiritual Directors International, and an Ordained Minister within the United Church of Canada.

She has served in congregations in Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario for 28 years and lives in Kenora, Ontario.  She says that Prairie Jubilee transformed her pastoral ministry.  The metaphor of ‘Pilgrimage’ for life’s journey, introduced to Cheryl through Prairie Jubilee, resulted in her Camino walk in 2011.  Cheryl has participated in the Enntrain Worshops with Carol Ann Gotch and David Walsh and has led ‘Intro to the Enneagram’ workshops in her home community.  Cheryl enjoys facilitating small group opportunities for prayer/meditation/reflection and labyrinth walks.  Quiet sitting, reading, walking, camping and knitting are activities of enjoyment.

Dale Bially has worked extensively with the enneagram in his professional and personal life since 1993. Under the guidance of my mentors Carol Ann Gotch and David Walsh (students of Bob Ochs), he completed the Enntrain: Inspirited and Embodied Enneagram training program in 2012 and began teaching workshops and study groups with Inscapes Centre for Enneagram Studies. In 2012 he began working with the leadership team of Prairie Jubilee, to train spiritual directors and help other seekers find the truth of whom they are and how to live differently making our world a better place.
