Through Enneagram Lens

Holy God, Divine Creator

We are so wonderfully and intricately made, yet sometimes confused in the mystery of it all. Throughout this season, may we journey into deeper relationship as you accompany us into the soul’s journey.

Help us to detach from that which does not feed us so that we may feast on that which nourishes us.

  1. Free us from our attachment to judgement, so that we may allow our impatience to become our teacher and our diversity our cherished gift.

  1. Untangle the knots of pride and martyrdom, to clear the way for receiving and giving what is good and soul-serving.

  1. When our pride and arrogance deceive even ourselves, teach us the value of our true self—created in Your image, wondrous and fearful, intricate and one with all.

  1. Help us to denounce our attachment to battering pain, freeing us to love ourselves and others with soulful authenticity.

  1. Release our grip and withholding of our resources and teach us the joy of generosity.

  1. Transition us through fragmenting fear and doubt, loving us into restoring courage, and strength that empowers and affirms.

  1. Slow us from our gluttony of the feast of life, showing us the nourishment of drinking deep, of contemplation, and of presence.

  1. When success is measured by power and dominance, may we embody Your knowing, and pave a pathway for justice and peace.

  1. Move us from apathy and carelessness into a vast field of transforming love through inward and outward actions of kindness and compassion, reflecting Your radiance of love that is beyond ego, beyond emotion, beyond our understanding, actions where there are no words.

May we create friends where once there was conflict, bear discomfort where once there was offence, grieve losses instead of nursing grievances, take responsibility where once we placed blame. Move us into discovery and recovery, releasing and maturing, healing and growth.

Deepen the love that calls us on toward You—toward home.

Amen.
